Demaree

Drive-up North-facing XC & soaring

Radio:

Min Rating:

Western Slope XC

151.955

P3

One of the few drive up north launches in the area. Demaree has great soaring potential at sunrise and late evenings. XC pilots will find Demaree a great option when the local convergence dips south and makes the other launches unflyable. Locals avoid launching Demaree mid day during the summer months.

Winds below 15mph on launch. Aspect: North - NorthEast.

Access: Take Douglas Pass road north from Loma until you reach the mapped pin. Enter the gate (please close it behind you) and continue up the mountain road. The road is generally in good condition and easily passible by AWD vehicles.

Launch

Launching is done from the road. No wind launches are not advised.

Landing

The landing area is a large grassy area at the base of the valley. The landing area is private property. Please be respectful and do not block the gates. DO NOT PARK near the house next to the LZ. The alternative LZ is across the road in the main valley.
